Looking for Players

It's the-atre, you know

Hwel, Hwel, Hwel, what do we have here then: the Play’s the thing, don't you know!

The play for this year is unlike anything you will have seen before, and that's because it's been adapted just for us! Bringing you fairy tales, voodoo, and tourism: that's right, we are taking you on the journey of a lifetime to Genua with Witches Abroad. This will be no ordinary play, and not just because there's nothing ordinary about Granny & Nanny. This will be Witches Abroad: The Musical! The show will be directed by Discworld alumni Richard Atha-Nicholls.

Most lead roles have been cast, but auditions for chorus and some minor roles will be held April 9th in the Stratford area. Video auditions will also be accepted. There will also be a rehearsal held the weekend of May 28th, which you must be able to attend. Applicants must be an attending member of the convention and be available for all 4 days of con and Monday without fail.

The following staff roles also need to be filled as soon as possible:

  • Choreographer
  • Music director
  • Props
  • Stage Manager
  • Costumer
  • and yes, we will need musicians!

So if you have an inclination for helping the chaos ensue please fill out the audition form and send to Producer Laura Smith at productions@dwcon.org by March 20th. It's a great opportunity to get involved and you'll definitely have fun in the process.
